Please Let Me Know Wat You Think
Is my baby name 2 ghetto?
there is nothing wrong with what you choose...but i would have a hard time pronouncing it and writting it as a child. not only that, the teacher would want to slap you for giving her such a hard time when she picks up the roll book...and can't pronounce the childs name....as for the kid....good luck on explaining how the pronounciation goes along w/ the spelling of it
Reply:I think they have to be the ugliest names. I mean I would have NO idea how to pronounce the names. And for the kids sake. You want to give him a name he can GROW UP with. Alot of places judge who they hire off of a name. So serious give your kid a name that he can grow with NOT a name that in the future you will regret naming him.
You asked for what we thought and I gave you my honest opinion.
Reply:woooowww! they're kinds hard to pronounce. But hey if u like them and u can pronounce them, then go for it! Congrats!!
Reply:Any name is fine...ghetto? What exactly is that? :) I would just think about the child being able to spell the name, not having to correct everyone on the pronouncing it, and how it will sound as an adult (regardless of setting). Good luck with your new baby.
Reply:I like those names but just an advice my name is Eslaine yeah its just elaine and a s... But somehow my name always gets slaughtered... Believe after saying your name 15 times and spellin it in 1 hour you r fed up... Just an advice
Reply:I'm a school teacher who teaches in a VERY culturally diverse community so I hear a lot of different names....but these are the craziest names I have ever heard! I wouldn't even know how to start to pronounce them!
Reply:I know this is gonna sound bad but I have to say it. Is there anyway baby names can be sorta "normal"? Like for example:
Jane
Susan
Susie
Amy
Blake
Dave
David
I don't know.. just something that sounds the same way it is spelled. It don't have to be tricky or make a statement. You did ask....
Reply:"In the GHETTO" Yes they are all Ghetto, poor child.
Reply:Hun I like them though I feel they maybe a bit difficult for people to spell lol. But I am glade it is not going to change your mind because they are your names for your children and so you name them what ever and if others don't like the names then they don't have to say them. My son's name is Tearnin Taz and I love his name though others may not I am also 15 weeks pregnant and I am going to name my next one Torin Nathan if it is a boy and Toryn Exavyara if it is a girl. So you do what you want as long as you LOVE the name it is good!!!
Reply:Eytorion`e Ty'J looks a bit complicated to be honest.. I'm not even sure how I would go about pronouncing it. :-/ I'm sure it sounds really nice, but he may find that it's a bit awkward to live with.. a lot of people aren't going to remember how to spell it and I wouldn't be surprised if they all just end up calling him Tori or TJay.
The girls names you chose also look a bit hard to spell.. I'd probably change them around a bit.. maybe to something like Jayla or Taylor. I think Cherish is a lovely name all by itself, I wouldn't add anything else to it at all.
Your sisters names are beautiful..I quite like what you've done with them. Very sweet idea. :-)
Reply:What the? ( Which will be the person's first thought when hearing or seeing those names)
Seriously what happened to normal names?
Reply:it sounds like you want to guarantee he'll be made fun of, given a nick name, and forever have people stumbling over how to pronounce his/her name. They'll probably call him Eeyore for short. People will think that a) his parents can't spell b) his parents were on crack and c) his parents were more interested in the name than the actual human child.
Reply:Many people believe you should imagine your child as a grown and successful business person, and ask if the name is appropriate.
Making up names does tend to be a little on the "ghetto" side.
Reply:how about something SIMPLE
Reply:I definitely don't like the spelling of the names.
I like Ty'J but I don't like the way it's spelled.
Reply:I think you should name your baby what you want to your the one who has to change, wake up,feed nurture and love them you count and your opinion matters besides those names are very unique and different and all parents want there kids to be and have unique names. Do what you want I myself love the names you chose. God bless
Reply:I would like to think I am a fairly educated person. But most of those I would have NO CLUE on how to pronounce. Sorry, I am not trying to be mean, just honest.
Reply:I agree with the girl above me. You may like the name but think of all the hassle your child is going to through in elementary school. Plus little kids are mean and they'll make fun of your daughter/son. Try naming them something that your child will be happy with and not just you.
Reply:A good rule of thumb is to put "Supreme Court Justice" in front of the name and see if the name in question would be taken seriously in life.
Reply:hmmm i dunno
Reply:All are very good.
Name him Dave
Reply:woah. if i saw those names for the first time, i wouldn't know how to pronounce them.
so the answer is YEAH. they seem really ghetto.
especially Eytorion`e Ty'J. don't use so many capitals for the girl names!
how about Tyjaylah?
Reply:Ok well I'm going to go out on a ledge here and be blunt. OMG what are you thinking. It is really confusing if you think about it. You may be the only one that knows how to spell it and say it. If you like it then more power to ya and your child will be the only one on earth with that name so that is a plus. But think of what others are going to think as well. You need a name that everyone can pronounce because your child will get very annoyed by no one being able to say his/her name and will get tired of repeating himself over and over. I'm not saying it is a bad name but It is way and I mean way out there. Hope this helped. Good luck and Congrats!
Reply:Realize that there is always going to be confusion when it comes to pronouncing your child's name. They are almost always going to have their name mispronounced. They are going to always have to pronounce and spell their names for whomever they come in contact with. Children can be cruel as well. They might be the subject of ridicule due to the fact that they have such an unusual name. I think it will be better if you choose a name that is more common and easier to pronounce. You can always use their first name as a middle name (James Eytorion or Candace TyJlah). It sounds as if your mind is made up. The fact of the matter is that names stick with you for the rest of your life. Give these comments some thought. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Reply:They probably would be less ghetto if you chilled out with the crazy spellings. Haha! Seriously- it will be easier for them in life if their names aren't so complicted. Unique is great but difficult spellings are gonna be a pain their whole lives. They will have to correct people every single day.
Reply:How can one actually "think of" or "come up" with a "name" like any of those?! You had better sign up that kid for boxing lessons or classes in self-defense! If I was him/her, I'd be lining up at the court house on my 18th birthday to legally change my name to Steve, Bill, George, Ann, Jennifer, Stacy... whatever. Sorry, but you asked.
Reply:I could not pronounce it at all, not even after reading it a few times, I am sorry I don't know what you mean by ghetto as we don't have that expression in the UK, but a name that is unpronounceable is a source of ridicule for the whole of the child's life.
Reply:Well, in today's job market, a name like that would affect his hirablity in a negative way. Now, in 2030 (around the time he'll be finishing his master's degree) it may be a totally different story.
Reply:All are too ghetto sounding. You will be laughed at. And so will your child.
Reply:Yep, they're definitely out there. The very definition of ghetto names. Too many consonants or random letters prononounced completely differently. And what is this new trend of sticking in random apostrophe's in names now a days? That is one of the silliest things I've ever seen. That and having another capital letter in the middle of the name. Dumb, dumb, dumb!!!
Sorry to be so brutally honest, I usually try to be a little more tactful but I'm PMSing today and really don't care for these names at all.
Reply:ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww keep thinkin
