Unique Baby name Ideas?

i was thinking of giving my baby a seasonal name... i'm not pregnant yet, so don't know what time of year it'll be born.

i've narrowed it down to 10.

Noel (christmas)

Guy (bonfire night)

Summer (summer)

Winter (winter/ autumn)

Spring (spring)

Tuesday (if born on tuesday)

Bunny (easter)

May (may day)

Independence (4th July) - i especially like this one (v. unique)

Hallow (hallow e'en)

Unique Baby name Ideas?
i LOVE unique names.

And i think for a boy, i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

AUGUST . i dont know WHY. and maybe as a middle name :)

for a girl :

SUMMER ! so cute.

and i like..

Evangline. ha, i think it reminds me of spring ! :)

hope i helped !
Reply:Nooooooooo. Don't use the literal names. With exception of Noel, Summer, May because they're more common and normal, go with something that is reminiscent of the seasons or events so you have more playing room for ideas!

Some Examples:

Sandy or Ember (bonfire night)

Autumn or Neiva (winter/ autumn) Neiva means snow

Holly or Heather (spring)

Martea (mar-tay-uh) or Feira (if born on tuesday) (dies Martis means Tuesday in Latin and Terca Feira means Tuesday in Portuguese.)

Bertha (meaning birth) or Victoria (easter) Lepus Victoriae is the scientific name for the African Savannah Hare.

Star or Juliet (4th July)

Elvira or Casper (hallow e'en)
Reply:Noel - It's a beautiful name. I like it spelled Noelle better, though.

Guy - Umm..no. I've just never liked this name.

Summer - It's alright.

Winter - Wynter, for a middle name.

Spring - No, it just reminds me of A spring (like, metal wire), not the season.

Tuesday - No..she'd get teased.

Bunny - Haha, I always thought it was cute. But it's a little out there, too "cutesy." But maybe for a nickname?

May - It's cute, but better for a middle name.

Independence - Way too long. How about just Indy, or India (and call her Indy)?

Hallow - Hopefully not pronounced Hollow? And I'd definitely not name your kid after Halloween. It's just too spooky, almost as bad as Ichabod.
Reply:Noel is nice for a boy, Noelle is nice for a girl.

Guy, I actually quite like the name Guy. I like it better as a middle name i think.

Summer - I LOVE the name Summer :) So gorgeous.

Winter - Cute.

Spring - Not nice.

Tuesday - Why would you name your child Tuesday?

Bunny - Trashy.

May - Nice as a middle name.

Independence - you wouldnt?

Hallow - Hallow, sounds like hello. its awful.

Harlow is gorgeous.

My favourite is Summer and Guy.

Dont name your baby after seasons though, well not too seasonal like Bunny, Independence, Hallow, Spring.

Summer, Winter, Noel and Guy are nice, seasonal names.

:D

Reply:Here are my opinions:

Noel: Fine, this is an actual name. And Noelle for a girl.

Guy: I don't like this one, I think it would be grounds for a lot of teasing.

Summer: It could work for a girl, I think you could get away with it.

Winter: I would spell it Wynter. For a girl only.

Spring: Hmm...I've heard this used as a last name, but not a first name.

Tuesday: For the love of nature, NO.

Bunny: You're not serious??

May: This is nice for a girl.

Independence: You're not SERIOUS?

Hallow: Oh my God, NO. You're really considering naming your child Hallow?

You have to think about the effect the name will have on the child throughout his or her entire life.

I think Autumn is a nice name to consider for a girl born in the fall.

June is a nice name for a girl born in the late spring or early summer.
Reply:autumn or summer are good choices. i knew people named noelle, may, and summer so those are nice.. i think if you went for bunny or hallow you are setting your kid up to be make fun of. i guess it would make a difference what ethnic background you are. There are a lot of native americans where i live with seasonal, spiritual names that mean something to their culture. going with your train of thought there is also april, solstice, Neva (snow), june, rain, or you could go with the month's birthstones.
Reply:Kelly is your best bet yet. It can also be a boy name and has other spellings.

You asked for my opionion, so here it is. Give the child a break. I have a childhood friend who gave her teen prenancy baby the name of "Seven". To me it is equivalent to the 10 names you have picked out. Summer is the only one I like.
Reply:I like Tuesday and Independence.

Hallow no. Try Harlow, Hallie, or Haley.

There are alot of Noels, Mays, and Summers.

If you go with Bunny, tell your child that just because they have a stripper name does not mean that they get to act like one.

Winter(Wynter) and Spring are terrible.

If you must have a seasonal name, chose one in a foreign language and just tell people what it means.
Reply:The only seasons I think are acceptable EVER are Autumn and Summer. Winter and Spring just don't mesh for me. Noel is pretty (I prefer Noelle.) Guy is okay, but it makes me think of a stuck up jock. Tuesday..no. I just think it is gross. Bunny is an older name and I don't really like it. May is okay. Independence is terrible. Hallow is dreadful.

I love the name Kelly!

My opinion though.
Reply:I like

Kelly for Saint Patrick's Day! (like the color kelly green)

Hallow

Autumn

October (Tobey)

January (Jan)

July (Jules)

August

Independence with the nickname Indie and Guy are okay, and I don't like the rest.
Reply:Noel - no. Noelle for a girl - yes.

Guy - no.

Summer - yes.

Autumn - yes.

Winter - possibly.

Tuesday - love it :)

Bunny - no.

May - yes. although prefer it as a middle name.

Hallow - no way.

And Kelly is cute :)

Reply:NO!

I hope you change your mind when you do get pregnant....
Reply:Definitely not Bunny.
