Chossing a baby name...?

throughout my partners side the name Christopher and John/Jonathan appears in every generation, and all though when the times comes we'd like to keep my partners first name as the baby's second name, which is Jonathan, we struggle to think of a good, fairly orignal first name that sounds good with Jonathan, but not using Chris or Christopher. Any suggestions?

Chossing a baby name...?
boys- andrew, cole, colin, harrison, heath, jacob, michael, solomon, thomas, william, alexander, christopher, donovan, emmanuel, enrique, jonathon, nathaniel, nicholas, roberto, salvador, samuel, timothy, benjamin, blake, daniel, ethan, graham, julian, liam, mason, patrick, alejandro, christian
Reply:How about Joseph or Jacob or Christian and i love Elliot. My little boy is actually named Joseph Jacob!
Reply:BENJAMIN
Reply:What about shortening the middle name to John? I think that you will find that more First names go with a shorter middle name.

Matthew John

Lucas John

Nicholas John

Adrian John

Christian John

Tristan John

Tyler Johnathan (might work?)

Reply:For the first name maybe you could use part of your name and part of chris.

Reply:jammy dodger
Reply:Tate - it means cheerful one and it goes well with Jonathan.. since the middle name is long you need a short first name.. they how names sound best. and make sure it goes with your last name.. my last name is Blackie so for girls names we had trouble cause anything ending ie or y was a no no.. good luck
Reply:Jathan /jey-thuhn/... would do...
Reply:Samuel I think that wouldn't be too much.
Reply:Levi i have always liked the name levi and that is what i am going to call my lil boy if i eva have one
Reply:Jonathan is a long second name, so i would suggest a short and sweet first name.

Reply:It depends on your surname, if it's long, you need a short first name, or if the surname is short you can use a long first name.
Reply:Something short would definately be the right choice.

Reply:Not sure, but I'd be inclined to choose a first name that is short, or has a short (monosylable) form.

My family name is a long old thing, and everyone shotens my first name to Jim when addressing me in full, or uses my nickname. Using the whole lot just sounds odd.
