Help with unusual baby name...?

I am due in about two weeks for a little girl, she is our second. Our first childs name is Samantha Alexandria... I wanted to name this baby

Stephanie Abernathy ( Stephanie a take off of her dads name Steve ) I really liked the name Abernathy but my husband absolutely hates it and wants to name her Stephanie Lea ( Lea is after his middle name of Lee ) I want to keep the longer more unusual name becuase its unique and long, in the style of her older sisters name. Or should I name this baby the female version of her fathers name??? Opinions?

Help with unusual baby name...?
I like the two sisters being names Samantha and Stephanie, they go very nicely together.

I'm not sure about Abernathy though, Alexandria is lovely, maybe another "A" name like Amanda, Amelia, Audrey, Andrea, Alexis, something along those lines.

Maybe there is one there that your hubby might like!

Samantha Alexandria

Stephanie Anastasia

Those two have the Royal Russian connection - the Empress Alexandria and Grand Duchess Anastasia

Reply:I'm not crazy about Stephanie Abernathy, unless Abernathy is a family name. (I know some people with that last name.) Since both Stephanie and Abernathy end with an "ee" sound, the combination isn't very pleasing -- it sounds a bit redundant.

I'm not fond of Stephanie Lea either. Naming her after her father is a lovely idea, but I think at least one of the names should be her very own. You can use Stephanie with a different middle name or Leah/Leigh with a different first or middle, but I wouldn't use them both together.

I agree that Samantha and Sabrina sound a bit "witchy" together, though I do prefer Sabrina to Stephanie. (Stephanie has the potential to sound a bit dated since it was most popular in the 1980's.) Other options to consider:

Serena Leigh (Serena and Samatha sound cute if you like S names)

Susanna Leigh (ditto)

Selena (starts with S and has a LEE sound; middle name could be after you?)

Leah Victoria (long name like her sisters; Leah is after father's middle name)

Leah Rosabella

Leah Juliana

Atarah (Atarah and Steven both mean "crown")
Reply:I think Stephanie Lea is my choice out of the two. I don't think Abernathy flows so well with it. But if you like it is your child and you can name her whatever you want to. Here's some other suggestions:

Stephanie Avalie(Ave lee)

Stephanie Angel

Stephanie Alexia

Stephanie Alyana(Ally on uh)

Stephanie Alexus

Stephanie Arietta(Air ee etta)

Stephanie Avery

Stephanie Aryn(like Erin)

Stephanie Angelina

or

Stephanie Anneliese(Anna lees)
Reply:personally, i have never really liked the name stephanie. i would give suggestions, but i was wondering, do you want the name to start with an "s" too, or just in the same style.

well, it looks like you like "s" names, and my favorite "s" name is Sophia, and i think that that would go great with Samantha
Reply:i love your name Stephanie Abernathy - it is interesting and unique. your husband already has his first name represented; i don't think you need to use his middle name also. and what about Samantha? will she feel left out if your second daughter is named exactly after your husband.

Reply: First of all Congratulations!! on your new one coming;how about this name instead? close to your thoughts, Stephanie Aubrianna Leah, or Andrieda Leah, that way you would still have part of your name you were thinking of, and you would Leah( off from the name Lee)?Would this be ok?Hope these helped!
Reply:How about an "A" name that is long, uncommon, and has a "Lee" sound in it... like for example, maybe...

Amberlea

Alecia

Aliz茅a

Amelie

Anelisa/Annalise

Araceli

Azalea/Azalia

I hope you find a name that you both love. Good luck :)

Sabrina is beautiful as well and a little less common. i would suggest Serena

Serena Alexandra

Serena Allison

Serena Angeline

Serena Ashlynn

Serena Anastasia
Reply:Truth be told, I think Stephanie Lea is prettier. Stephanie Abernathy is a bit of a mouthful and will be more difficult to spell. And what if she doesn't want to be called Nat or Abby based on her middle name?
Reply:I absolutely love Stephanie Abernathy. It also is a way better combination then Stephanie lea. Even stephanie Lee sounds better that stephanie lea.
Reply:Stephanie Ann
