Baby Name for my son and daughter...?

I always loved the name Damian but people tell me that everyone will be calling him the devil. But I love the name Damian Tyler. What do you think?

I also love the name Kiana but once again everyone is telling me it sounds black and since I am not black it wouldn't fit. I love the name Kiana Siobhan (pronounced sha-vaughn) but they hate the middle name too because it sounds black as well.

What do you think of naming your son after daddy and making him a JR? Some say a baby should have their own name and not someone elses... daddy wants a JR though.

Im soo stuck please help me!!!!!!

Baby Name for my son and daughter...?
A name knows no color.

Personally, I don't like Damian. How about Demetrius instead?

Kiana is pretty. And I don't see how Siobhan sounds black, when it's a Gaelic name. It's actually pronounced (shi VAWN) though.

And please, don't name him after the daddy. A child is an individual and needs his own name.
Reply:I do not like the name Damian, but people name there sons that all the time. Last year it was rank 137 out of the top 1000 boys names. That is a lot of boys with that name

If you love it, then go for it

Kiana was rank 439 and Kianna was rank 882

Kiana is Hawaiian and a form of Diana

If you love the name, then it's fine, and it's not a black name, it's a Hawaiian name

Some people like naming there son after them

There is no right answer

My husband would of past his middle name on to his son, it went back to his great grandfather. I thought It was cool

I had a brother that was a JR, it was fine when they were young, but in high school, phone calls got mixed up

I know some one that name there son after there father by using the fathers name Middle First name. They have the same two names as the father, but he has his own

Good luck
Reply:Well you gotta go with what you like. damian does refer to devil but if you look up the meaning of the name it is not devil Kiana is pretty i dont think it sounds like it belongs to one culture or another. I would agree though that i dont like the middle name, and i really dont like the idea of being a jr. it is confusing ( my bf gets his dads mail all the time), it is not creative, and half the time it is not even that great of a name.
Reply:what about is you call your son Robert, sounds good and can be

Latin and English, Latin for Roberto.

And your daughter, well lets see, what about Lucy or keyla, what do you think, and calling any of your sons after any of you, look if i were a kind i would not like to be call like my father because then everybody would confused with mi fathers name, like who are you calling?, me or mi father, stuff like that.

that it thank you.
Reply:whatever you do, do not name your child damian.

he will get teased, and that IS the name of the devil.

as far as Kiana, I have to agree with your friends, and same with the middle name.

and no, don't name your child JR.

he does need his own name, I wouldn't like it if I were named after my mom, I like having a unique name.
Reply:What about Tyler Damian? That way you still get your name but he is not gonna be called devil cuz you don't hear the middle name as much

Kiana - how are you pronoucnin it? I don't think it matters what race you are if you like a name. I mean people use germen names and there not germen.

Siobhan- sorry don't care for it

My hubby wanted a jr too. But I gave our first sons middle name my hubbys first name. like my hubbys name is douglas so thats my sons middle name

good luck
Reply:Damien will always be a devil name to me -- sorry. Maybe you can think of something similar?

I think Kiana does sound a bit African-American, but Siobhan is an Irish name. The problem with it is more of spelling.

I don't care for the junior thing either. You often end up with "Big Joe" and "Little Joe", or Joe and Joey.
Reply:firstly, don't tell family or friends the names you are considering...less grief that way.

Damian is a good name.

i am a big fan of giving children a family name as their middle name so i would go with

Damian Scott

Kiana Jennifer or

Siobhan Jennifer

Siobhan is Irish and beautiful.

good luck.
Reply:its your choice dont let other peoples opinions effect your choice. i personally agree with the girls name, not my taste to be honest. as for the jr you could always have it for a middle name rather than first if you dont want them both having the same first name. damian is ok if you like it then use it, noone usually comments on names after the baby is born so dont worry. chances are when the baby is born you will change your mind anyway. good luck.
Reply:Dude, dont listen to other people. NAME YOUR KID WHAT YOU WANT! ITS YOUR KID!!!

Damian is a cute name. Raise him right to prove he aint no devil!!! Damian is good, go for it!

Kiana Siobhan does sound a kinda black. But I have seen white kids with black people names (not trying to be racist here people) Kiana is beautiful, I really like that name. Once again, if you like that name, go for it!!!!
Reply:Damian doesnt sound like the devil-my Church priest is called that-lol

Siobhan is not black it is Irish- I like it!!

I like both of those names and don't let other people tell you what you should call your child because at the end of the day you have to live with your children and hey are yours!!

GOOD LUCK AND HOPE THIS HELPED!!
Reply:Damian does sound like the devil

i don't think kiana sound that back thou, probably cus my friends white and that is her name, but her middle name is dragon,,,which is weird

don't name the baby a Jr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,,,it should have its own identity

try this website: http://www.babynames.com/
Reply:No names are considered "black" or "white". A name can be for anyone of any race.

Damian is very cute....So is Kiana.

Maybe:

(father's first name) Damian

(father's middle name) Damian

Demetri

Devin

Kiara

Keira

Giana

Liana

Liliana

Kara

Those are similar names.....

You could compromise with you're husband.

Good luck %26amp; Best wishes!

Reply:I am due so close to Halloween with this one that I told my hubby if it is a boy could we call him Damian from that movie The Omen. Plus I like that name! He said that our son would get made fun of, and other people I told were going crazy on me for it. I say if you like the name then you use it. The name has other meanings than what it was in that one movie.
Reply:If you like the name Damian Tyler, which sounds great together, then you should name your child that.

Kiana Siobhan is beautiful. Just because a name is unique doesn't make it black lol

A child, especially a boy, wants his own identity when they grow up.
Reply:Dana,Celeste,Celestina,celestine,jacob,j...
Reply:i like the name damina tyler a lot!

Also Kiana Siobhan is really pretty. And Siobhan is an irish name so im not sure what your are talking about with the "black" name
Reply:No there is a lad at my school called Damian and he has never been bullied or called the devil

I love the name Damian

Siobhan is a irish name
Reply:F them, if they dont like the name thats too bad, because they not their children. Name them the names you want because you have to live with them.
Reply:It is always cute to have the names rhyme,like...Joseph and Jenna. Johnnie and jessica. The boys name should sound something like the dads name and girls should sound like your name.
Reply:No Damian that is like the devil. And yes Kiana does sound black.
Reply:Boy: Blaze or Matt

Girl: Megan or Alex or Brianna

hope you like em'
Reply:If you like damian and ur husband does 2 use it. i also like JR
