Baby name Jacob?

Well my boyfriend does not really want Lorenzo so I am willing to compromise and put Lorenzo as the middle name... I like Jacob but I feel it is so common, I know its one of the most popular baby names now... How many Jacobs do you know? Whose naming their baby Jacob? And what do you think of it.. Jacob Lorenzo...





My siser also suggested the name Miles.... I kindah like it but I'm not sure.

I don't like Miles at all. I like Jacob alright.
Reply:I know about 10 Jacob's and 1 Miles. I think that if you want to name your son that, then you should. Although I would recommend using a nickname. I think that it goes together. I like the name Lorenzo, I've never heard it before so it is defiantly cute and unique for a little boy. I'm no having any children, for the simple fact that I am only a young teenager and I also don't know anyone naming their child that. I have a cousin name Jericho. And Jared is cute, if you wanted more suggestions. =)

Reply:I like it. My son (if he really is a son and not a daughter) will be named jacob william. I guess it is a pretty common name but it is a beautiful and powerful name as well. I do have to agree with your boyfriend I do not like the name lorenzo for a first name but it sounds nice as the middle name.
Reply:I like both Jacob and Miles as first names, and I think Lorenzo would be a good middle name. I guess its because we're talking about a baby boy that its sort of difficult to imagine such a masculine name as Lorenzo for him. I keep picturing an italian guy with long hair when I think of Lorenzo.
Reply:I like the name Jacob. I don't think it's quite as common now as in previous years with all the strange out there names people are coming up with nowadays! I really like it.





Or how about Jacob Miles? I like the sound of that, unless hubby is dead set on Lorenzo being included (family name?)

Reply:I LOVE THE NAME JACOB!!! but i like it spelled Jakob better. at my high school of more than 800 students..there was only like two jacobs... so i wouldnt worry. it is a great name. use it if you love it...don't base ur choice on what ranking it is. Miles is okay... Miles Lorenzo? doesnt quite flow.
Reply:jacob is too common for my tastes. i have 2 cousins named jacob. and know lots of others. jacob lorenzo sounds good together, but it is just very common. miles is a cute, uncommon name!

Reply:I like the name Jacob but agree that its way too overused at the moment.. I know several... plus there seems to be a lot of Jacobs (or Jakes) on TV shows Lately.. The youngest kid on Reba and the Kid on 2 and a half men...
Reply:Jacob is number 1 for 2008 so yes it is very common. It is way better then Lorenzo. Lorenzo is terrible.
