Should I use the baby name me and my ex gf decided on

I just recently seperated from my girl friend of 5 yrs and i am pregnant with my first child. She has decided to have nothing to do with me or my daughter. I am due august 10th. I have a schedule c-section on the 10th. I am not sure if i am going to use the name i decide on with her or should i decide on something different. The name was Audra Jade which i love but will i be reminded on her whenever i say her name.

Wow that's a tough one. First sorry about the break up! Second congratulations on your daughter. This seems so hard because you have probably been calling her by her name for quite some time now. Who came up with the name? Was it both of you or did you come up with it on your own and she just agreed that it was a good name? I'm torn on this, I would have to consider a new name I think.Good luck and let us know what you decide. Also let us know how the baby is doing, you know in a few weeks after you have had time to catch your breath.

i wouldn't use the name, although if you are really really stuck on it, keep in mind the pain of your breakup will eventually fade so the "reminders" won't be a big deal. Also, when you say your daughter's name, you'll be thinking mostly of your beautiful little girl.





one more thing-good luck-as a single parent you won't have time to think of anything but the baby for a while!
Reply:If you two are no longer together, I suggest you pick a name that is just something you came up with. I also want to say, as nicely as possible...that you not pick such a unique name,...I got named something quite unusual and it really sucked. I have since changed my name.
Reply:You could maybe get a puppy dog and name it something weird like Audra jade, and give the kid a normal name. But keep the puppy away from the baby.
