Im 34 weeks pregnant for first time wit baby girl, My boyfriend and I have been argue over baby name. I want to name our daughter that none of my family/his family and our friends had that name ever...
I am mixed of Irish and Haitian... He is mixed of PR and American so which it mean our daughter will be 1/3 of Irish-american, 1/3 Haitian, and 1/3 of PR.
I want to name her Orla as first name cause none had that name, it mean golden queen in irsh
she will have my Haitian last name go to her middle name, She will have daddy's PR last name go to her last name, all i want is her first name is Irish/american name.
I want to know what you think of Orla Adrien Nazario?
Im deaf so i cant make it sound but my boyfriend said it sound weird and messed up. I asked hearing people (total around 25 peoples and they says it sound strange but make sense) so i want to your opinion because they might not tell me truth to hurt my feel?
PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!!! my baby due SOONER! thanks
Baby due on April 15, need feedback wit baby name!?
your name is cute haha i like it. it sounds really good. if you like the name you shouldnt worry what other people say it sounds like, hey, its not their baby =] they wont clean it and change it, and once you have your baby that name will look and sound perfect because your not only going to fall in love with your child, but her name also. so choose wisely and choose what you like. [i personally think its absolutly adorable] %26lt;3
Reply:I don't really like Orla, it does have an awkward sound. Olivia is beautiful. Since you like Orla because it means golden queen in Irish, perhaps you would like Maeve. Maeve is the name of a legendary Irish queen. Other Irish names you might like: Alanna, Breanna, Bridget, Carlin, Colleen,Erin, Kaitlin, Keara,Kylie,Reagan,Taryn, Megan. Best of luck and have a safe delivery!
Reply:Cute but i would say alora, ask him how it sounds!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
Reply:I think it sounds lovely, and very unique, too.
Reply:i like it i dont think itr sounds wierd good luck
Reply:Orla Adrienne is simply beautiful. I think you have chosen well. If your boyfriend doesn't like it what would he choose? Congratulations and good luck!
Reply:I absolutely love it, it's darling :-)
Reply:I love it. Its unique, cute and I know she'll love it! Congrats! Good Luck!
Reply:I think it's very pretty and unusual... and it offers her a lot of nickname choices like Adrien, Adri, Adie, Orlie, La, etc. if she feels so inclined. It's probably the kind of name that she might hate as a kid (the way everyone hates their name as a kid) and then grow to love/appreciate as she gets older. The name as a whole is easy to say and it sounds nice rhythmically, so I'd guess that people's main qualm is with "Orla," since it doesn't fit the mold as far as trendy names for little girls. There are a lot of Irish names on the internet as I'm sure you know, but Orla has a pretty meaning and it's your favorite, so go with it. The only thing is... maybe your boyfriend should like it too? Maybe you can find an Irish name for a little girl that you both agree on.
Reply:i actually think that name is pretty.
if everyone else thinks it is weird, look up on babynames.com for irish baby girls names, and you can find all sorts of meanings.
orla does NOT sound weird and messed up. they don't like it but who cares? it is simple, elegant, and easy to say. and the meaning is beautiful, so i'd stick with it.
good luck!
