What do you think of Draco as a baby name?
Draco as a baby name?
sounds like a dragon name, or a name of a knight who sleighs dragons??!!!
I don't think it's a very attractive name.
Reply:To close to Graco (a common baby product producer). On the upside, you can by their products and change the G to a D.
Reply:I suppose it was popular in Dacia, before it was conquered by the Roman Empire, since its symbol-instead of a flag-was the Draco (the skin of a dead wolf, placed on a stick, which sounded like a roar when the stick was waved). But today this name sounds more like Prince Vlad the Third of Walachia (commonly known as Dracula).
Reply:Not to be rude at all, it sounds a little like a laundry detergent or a gas station. How about Drake? Good luck.
Reply:Isn't that the kids in Harry Potter that is mean to harry all the time. I could forsee alot of name calling.
Edit: Go with Brayden that is my maiden name. LOL It is a good strong name.
Reply:yeah no
Reply:Not so much, but I don't like Braydon either. Draco sounds like an industrial corporation (Draco Chemical, Inc.) and Braydon sounds so 2007 Hollywood, yuppie child.
Reply:Kind of extreme, sort of like the life you have let yourself lead so far.
Do what is right for this baby and stop with all the nonsense. When you name him think of what he will think of the name when he has to go to school and face others.
ADDITION:
Just from the sounds of your comments and questions you have asked on here I would recommend you maturing a bit before this baby is born. This child you are about to be responsible fore is innocent in all of this and will not deserve anything but the best of the best from you.
Brayden is a very nice name.
Reply:No...to open to teasing!
Reply:no! draco is harry potter's bully.
i think it creates negative connotations and reminds me of dracula, too! eek!
Reply:Sure. And you can make the middle name "Malfoy".
Reply:I like it in theory, but it's too Harry Potter. I like Draco better than Braydon, though. How about:
Deacon
Drake
Griffin
Griffith
Arthur
Lucian
They're names that either have a similar sound or flavor to Draco.
Reply:dont like it but thats just my opinion, each 2 their own, im sure there would be no copyrights on that name cus it is unique in its own way
Reply:Malfoy? from Harry Potter? he will never escape that, and Draco was NOT a good person...
Reply:Stick with Brayden. Draco sounds like a drain cleaner or son of a vampire.
Reply:nah that's wierd
Reply:NO WAY
Reply:Draco is here to suck your blood. LMAO makes me think of vampires
Reply:ummm...... Dracula comes to mind
not so much .....sorry
Reply:What about a compromise since you don't like Draco...
Drake
or
Griffin
Draco is a bit much.

Baby name dilemma,...?
My husband and I have a beautiful baby boy and we were wanting to have another baby in the not too distant future, but we cannot agree on any names at all! We have the girl name picked out: Katherine Ann. We cannot decide on a boy's name, and we do not want to find out what the gender is, just like last time, so we need to have both names handy. I was thinking about Cain, Cole, and Jack. He likes Buckley (or just simply Buck, and the bad thing about that is our first son is named Hunter -_-') James, Robert, and Daniel. Daniel I could live with,... but I don't want to have to "live with" a name. I'd like to enjoy it. The middle name would be Edward (husband's choice again,... I hate it, but he didn't like the middle name I picked out for our first son either. He only accepted it because it was my grandfather's) Which name do you like best and do you have any other suggestions?
Baby name dilemma,...?
Hunter and Colton Edward, cole could be for shourt
Hunter %26amp; Jack Edward, is okay, Jackson Edward sound better
Hunter %26amp; Cain Edward, NOt the best
Hunter and Buckley or Buck-no, this is not good
Hunter and Dainel Edward, Is cute
Hunter and James Edward is okay
Hunter and robert Edward, do not like
suggestions
Hunter %26amp; Coooper Edward
Hunter and Bowen Edward
Hunter and Griffin Edward
Hunter and Ryker Edward
Hunter and River Edward
Hunter and Ashton Edward
Hunter and Luke Edward
Hunter and Cameron Edward
Hunter and Jasper Edward -kind of cool
Reply:Have you thought about Archer? In a sense, it "works" with Hunter's name. They are both very masculine names in my opinion and you won't have to worry about "Hunter, go find Buck". I despise Buckley to be honest but that's me. I agree with the others that he should get to choose the middle name since you got to choose the middle for your first son.
Outside of Archer, what about:
Carter, Casper, Fisher, Jagger, Parker, Ryder, Tanner, Tyler, Xander
Reply:I'd say that Buckley Edward wouldn't go because Buckley/Buck sounds more modern, whereas Edward is a traditional name. I'd go for a first name that's been around a while, to complement Edward, but isn't very common. How about Harvey? It also alliterates with Hunter which would be cute :)
Reply:I love Jack Edward. It's a strong name and it would go well with Hunter. Good for you, saying no to Buckley. "Hunter %26amp; Buck" would be awful!
Is it possible to find a first name you both really like? May I suggest: Tristan, Ronan, Gabriel, Wesley, Zander, Seth, Ari, Harrison, Asher, Lincoln, or Russell. Good luck!
Reply:Don't settle for a name you can live with. This is your child. What will you say if they ask, "Why did you name me this?" I love the name Daniel. Daniel Edward sounds great. I absolutely would not name him Buck if your first son is Hunter.
Or maybe you like one of these:
Dylan Edward
Logan Edward
Joshua Edward
Zachary Edward
Ryan Edward
Reply:I think you should choose Derick (or here, in Brazil D茅rick). Here, in Brazil, where I live it's a unusual name, no one knows how to spell and they usually say Erick because it looks like Derick. But I think it's a great name.
But it's your baby and you choose whatever you want.
Thanks for listening me.

Good Luck w/ your name choices n when u get preg I hope everything works out 4 u n that u have a very smooth delivery
Reply:Buckley has country connotations that he would not be able to talk himself out of, so unless you are prepared for that, do not name him Buckley or Buck.
Tell your husband that you want something a little less common, such as Cole or Cain and would he really want his son to have a plain name or something that stands out of the crowd a little more, that usually convinces people.
Why don't you go with Cole Edward or Cain Edward, if you really hate Edward, do Cain or Cole Edwardson, works well. If husband does not like Cain or Cole, sit down with him to come up with a less common name together which you could both live with
He should get the middle name he wants, however, because you picked the middle name of the first son and since the middle name is just a middle name, I do not think , you should make too much of a fuss over that. That would just be pushing it. Suggest Edwardson, though, if you prefer Edwardson...it makes the name more mysterious. It has Scottish and Celtic background in the name, and one of those "last name names" which makes the name more mysterious

Do you like the name Jalyssa Nycolle for a baby girl?
I think it is unique and different. I don't like average names. I like stuff that's different.
Do you like the name Jalyssa Nycolle for a baby girl?
Jaylyssa is hideous. If you don't like common names, why are you naming her Nicole? Messing up the spelling into something horrendous does NOT make it unique...
Either way, it's your baby. I hope she forgives you someday for the lifetime of embarrassment, teasing, torment and mispronouncing.
Reply:yeah i'd say tone it down a notch. how about alyssa nicole. or alison nicolette. the ebonic spelling doesn't help the cause.
good luck with the baby.
Reply:Jaslene

Reply:The Jalyssa part is okay but, I don't like Nicole spelled Nycolle.
Reply:Is it pronounced Jay-lyssa or Jah-lyssa? Keep in mind, anytime people have to guess, the less likely they are to call that person for job interviews or college applications.
Reply:Well let's hope that your child likes its name as well then.
Reply:It sounds like one of those stupid made-up names like Shaniqua or Jomama.
Reply:Yes I love it.. I like your spelling of Nicole too.. Very unique. I am also very fond of unique names.
Don't listen to all of the idiots that keep telling you no, it's bad, the child will be teased.... Children get teased regardless of their names. But anyhow, don't listen to what others say about it, the only thing that matters is that you like it... I am all for unique names and IMO you shouldn't worry about what others think of the name.. You like it so go with it, it's your decision. Good luck.
Reply:You should throw an "i" in there somewhere, just so it's not all the same.
Jalyschia Nicholle maybe?
Reply:just remember, you asked for opinions; they are awful, they sound made-up, and weird spellings of normal names does not make them unique, it makes life hell for your poor child who will go through life correcting the spelling and pronunciation of their name. What about Jade Nicola...? Not names you hear everyday, but pretty and no weird spelling...
Reply:No, sorry.
Reply:Honestly, it seems like you are trying to hard with the all of the double letters and y's. Uniqueness comes from personality, not the way the name is spelled.
Reply:It's very nice. Something to remember, though. First of all, any time you do an unusual spelling for a child's name, that child will have to correct the pronunciation and/or spelling throughout his or her life. Secondly, if you really love the name, go to the back door of your home. Open the door, lean your head out, and scream the full name at the top of your lungs at least 3 times, as if you're calling your child home for dinner. See how much you like it then. ;)
Reply:yes i like it none of my girls have normal names well at least the spelling isnt normal. Being different is good maybe this way it will give your child spirit to be a leader and not a followerr
Reply:Jalyssa Nycolle is cute. However, I would recommend not doing a double y. I think the spelling of Nicole is better paired with that first name.
Reply:What is it about parents giving their babies weird, made-up and so called uncommon names. STICK TO THE CLASSICS!
Reply:No. Children are teased when they have unusual names. It's difficult enough being a child.
No one will be able to spell either name.
Give the child a break, give her a normal name, they will not EMBARASS her.
Kids have it difficult as it is and don't need the extra burden of an unusual name.
Think about when you were a kid, if you didn't get teased about something, I'm sure you know kids that did. Put yourself in her shoes.
Reply:not really. plus this kid is going to be stuck with a name that no one can spell or even pronounce properly.
get a good baby name book and find a name that hasnt been used to death lately. That will really let her have a competitive edge plus it wont be a hindrance when looking for a job, etc
if she send a resume with a strange name more than likely it will get tossed before they even bother to review the qualifications.
not nice, but oh, so true
Reply:i think its pretty. i like unique yet pronounceable names
Reply:No.
Reply:I don't like it at all. Nicole is Ok, but I don't like your spelling. Sorry, just my opinion. All that matters is yours.
Reply:The name sounds alright. Jalyssa is cool the way it is spelled but you should probably consider spelling Nicole like this or with an "H", the "Y" and two "L's" doesn't look right. It'll still be an unique name. Good luck.
Reply:Oh that is so pretty!
Reply:yeah its unique i like it
Reply:no srry people will make fun of her and its a weird name
Reply:No. I don't like it at all, and I suspect your child won't either. Do you remember when children snickered in school when the teacher would pronounce someone's name wrong the first day of school? Do you want your daughter to feel that way?
Unusual names are great, but you are making yourself look illiterate by choosing a common name and slaughtering the spelling.
Reply:Don't care for it or the strange spellings.
Reply:Try something exotic, but more normal. Like, April, It's more normal, but not many people are named that! :-)
Reply:give her something easy, like so she wont be made fun of at school
Reply:Too many extra characters and difficult to spell.
Reply:Try Ting Fong Wu! Nice huh lol!!!
Julissa
Desiree
Ebony

Are you happy with the name you gave your baby?
just wondering, do you think it fits their personality? or do you have second thoughts and kind of wished you picked that other name? btw whats your baby's name?
: )
Are you happy with the name you gave your baby?
i picked a name for my first child that i feel really reflects where i was "at" in my life at that time- i see him as Rocco, because thats all ive ever called him.. but if i had it to do over agian, i wouldnt name him that. in fact, ive had 2 other children since, and they have more realistic names, and when my husband adopts my son.. we are letting him, pick his own middle name so he can have something else to go by
Reply:Yes, I'm happy with them and they do fit.
I was never for common names and now I have two of them, that's the funny part for me.
When I picked out my oldest sons name I had never heard it but fell in love. Now, we go to the doctor and when they call his name, 3 kids stand up, lol.
For my youngest, I figured we already have one common name, let's just choose something that fits very well w/ his brothers name (and something my husband and I could agree on, that was the tough part).
They both have family names as their middle names.
Oh, and the way the definition of their name actually fits them it unreal!!!
Reply:Robert is my 10 year old-he was named after his father and I like the name because it is a dignified and strong masculine name
Olivia is my 3 year old and my husband picked her name. I think it's become too popular and trendy. I'm not crazy about it I wanted Gina but my husband said it made him think of a fat old Italian woman sitting at the table and smoking cigarettes and b*tching about everything. (in other words, one of his relatives =)
Reply:My son's name is Spencer Lee. I think it is perfect and suits him better than anything else could. I had doubts about it when he was about a month old but realized very quickly that nothing else fit his personality and look. I couldn't imagine his name being anything else, and so I believe we picked the perfect name for him.
Reply:I think both of my son's name's are perfect for them!
My oldest is Cole (Actually Adam Cole after dad, but goes by Cole), and he is an honery, energetic little monster with a sweet side.
My youngest son is Cade, and he is a sweet little guy who's really easy going and quick to smile and laugh.
I think no matter what name you choose, they seem to fit your child. They just become that name...I think about all of our other options, and don't think they would fit my kids.
Reply:Desiree Elizbeth and I am very happy with it Desiree= desired and Elizabeth= gift from God. Shes a very happy baby and chunky ^_^
Reply:My daughter name's are 1st name Leslie middle name Lovelyn, her father name her Lovelyn after me and I love the name Leslie it means joy, and she has brought lots of joy to the family. I am 36 week pregnant with our baby.
Reply:I am extremely happy with my sons name..I never really had a second pick or thought twice about it..
Lennon Ephriam. He is named after his Father and Great-Grandfather.
Reply:I named my daughter Damariya (Duh-ma-ree-yuh). I call her Mari Ari sometimes but I think it fits her quite well. She's so unique just like her name.
Reply:Destrey Joseph
Destrey: cowboy
Joseph: God will increase
It fits him very well! He's our sweet little cowboy!
Reply:The name fits my daughter perfectly. I called her Sungiva = Sunshine. And she is as happy and smiley a baby as they come :-)
Reply:Totally love my son's name...Jake...anyone think of Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles??? lol

Which baby name do you like best?
I can't decided on a name. Which do you like best?
Cheyenne
Gracie
Gisele
Chloe
Which baby name do you like best?
***Cheyenne***
Reply:If you want to use 2 of the names one for the first and one for the middle, I like Gracie Cheyenne or if you just want one name I like Chloe.
Reply:You can put it Cheyenne Grace because that is kind of combining two of the names.
Reply:FIRST OF ALL GOOD LUCK
IT DEPENDS GREATLY ON THE LAST NAME. IT HAS TO BE FLOWING INTO IT....
FOR INSTANCE... CHEYENNE NEWTON SOUNDS BAD
BUT CHEYENNE BURTON SOUNDS GREAT !!
SO PRONOUNCE THE NAMES TOGETHER WITH THE LAST NAME AND THE MIDDLE NAME IN CASE YOU CHOSE ONE.
BUT IF IT WOULD BE FOR ME.... I LIKE GISELE A LOT.

Reply:Chloe or Gracie, but it depends on what your last name is. Like, Cheyenne is pretty, but it's three syllables. If your last name is short, like "Fox," that'd work well, but if your last name is something long, like "McDonaldson", that's a bit of a mouthful.
