Baby Name questions or laws ?

We want to give our baby a different last name as us. BUT... the story is...





My "last name" is my fathers step fathers. And Im NOT giving the name to my kid when hes born. Im want to go back to my fathers original name which is Lee.





So my question is , what kind of problems will I run into if my kid has a different last name than me and my wife?





His name would be either





Kai Young Lee Adair


or


Kai Young Adair Lee





and my name and wifes name isnt even close except for the Adair part which is hypenated with my 'fake' last name

You might have some trouble with school records and things like that... Not to mention the poor child will probaby be all confused for a while, lol. Why don't you, your wife, or both of you just change your last name to Lee... It would probably save you all trouble in the future, and it doesn't sound like you particularly like you current "last name" anyway.
Reply:Why don't you change your name first since the name emans something to you anyway. That way you will have the same name.
Reply:You and your wife should change your last names to Lee before the child is born..otherwise thats gonna be awkward for u all to have different last names
