This is our third, and final (snip snip) baby. With our first two, we really went big into family names. This one, we're trying to break away, but not too far. My wife has decided, that if it is a girl (we don't know yet), she's going to name it. The name she has selected is Emma Noelle. I'm not completely sold on it, but I got to name the first 2, so what can I say. The Emma part is fine (although not on my top 10), but I cringe at the Noelle part. I'm not sure if she knows what it means. Emma means complete, which is appropriate.
She has convinced herself that it is in fact a girl, and refers to it as emma (which will be such a disappointment if it's a boy). She has given up on the boy names, and has left me in charge, in case it's a boy.
As for boys, I've considered going with another family name, Zachary Taylor (can you tell where we're from?), or continuing with the initials J.A.W.(my wife isn't completely sold on J names, though). Or I've considered looking 4 meaning.

Emma Noelle is a cute name.
For boy names...Zachary Taylor is ok...I'm not crazy about Taylor though.

Reply:I think Emily Noelle is a beautiful name - it doesn't mean anything bad at all. Noelle is the feminine version of Noel - which means "Christmas" - so it's probably better for children born around that time, but nobody will really pay attention to it if she isn't. I think it looks cuter written the French way - No毛lle. But if you're still not sure - Emily Joelle is a nice alternative.
Zachary Taylor is really nice too. Good choice. :-)

It is my daughters name and I am familiar with the old meaning "no god" first of all if this is what your thinking that is not what it means. The name is french and means born on christmas day. Please dont make your wife upset by believeing this name means something negative.

Reply:Emma Noelle feels beautiful when I say it!!! (Although Noelle is typically a December baby name.) My sister was brave and used the middle name Lia (Emma Lia). At first I didn't like it, but now I love it because it is so unique and Emma is a frequently used name now days.
Zachary Taylor is an awesome name!!! I wouldn't stress about thinking up a bunch of other names.
